## Starting a Workflow from Scratch

The SAP workflow wizard lets you build a workflow without a preselected business-process or module template, so you control exactly which SAP tables and masking rules go into it.

### Steps

1. Start creating a new SAP workflow.
2. Complete the **Define** step with the workflow name and details.
3. Complete the **Connect** step to link the SAP data source.
4. In the **Module & data scope** step, choose to start from scratch instead of a business-process or module preset.

5. In the **Configure** step, choose the masking rules to apply to the selected tables — see [Masking Data Guide](https://docs.synthesized.io/tdk/latest/user_guide/020_guides/masking_data/).
6. Click **Create** to finish creating the workflow.
