Collecting Metrics

Investigating potential performance issues can be simplified by collecting metrics from the Governor. This process involves deploying additional components and gathering the resulting metrics.

The Governor offers metrics for system performance monitoring and bottleneck identification.

To collect these metrics in a Kubernetes deployment, additional components are required. These components, including monitoring tools and services, facilitate metrics gathering, storage, and visualization. Detailed deployment and setup instructions are available in the observability guide.

Metrics are automatically collected for Docker Compose deployments. The data from Prometheus is stored in a separate volume named prometheus_data. This data can be archived and sent to the Synthesized team for further analysis, aiding in troubleshooting and performance optimization.
